HuffPo title and comments are ripping this guy apart. BUT: Back in the day when women were expected to be treated like ladies, and men were expected to act like men (not my other new best Girlfriend). That doesnt mean stay home and be barefoot and pregnant, seemed society was a lot more humane. When couples decided to marry and raise a family TOGETHER. When the kids came home and a mom was there, the FAMILY UNIT produced more well balanced children. Kids came home grabbed a snack, ran out and played, had a FAMILY DINNER and then homework and bed. But always had the SECURITY of family. Now kids are shuffled off to daycares from almost day one, they start school and go to another daycare until they get picked up. When they get home its cram in a meal, get homework done, maybe eat together, maybe not, play some games. Some kids just come home and no one is there to give that sense of security and needed discipline. And we wonder why our schools are failing, why kids are being so brutal to each other, why kids cant handle conflicts. So, you know. I would trade my job to do the most important job. Being there to RAISE a family, not just PRODUCE one. Single parents, I get it, I was one. But I would have rather not have been one. I could have offered my kids so much more than what money could buy, and paying someone else to be their mentor, because they saw them more than me.
