Huffington Post is not my usual reading recommendation, although I do follow it. This piece on the polite use of smartphones is an exception because of its connection to this weeks Torah portion. Both Noahs Ark and the Tower of Babel are stories about (among other things) technology and its effect on civilization. Noah partners with God and saves all land life by learning to caulk a boat. The citizens of Babel disperse humanity as a result of learning to make bricks and build tall towers. And now we have the smartphone. Is it a blessing or curse? Thats up to us. huffingtonpost/zach-dean/smartphone-etiquette_b_5992548.html?ir=GPS%20for%20the%20Soul&utm_campaign=102114&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Alert-gps-for-the-soul&utm_content=Title
