Hull City Council has been granted an injunction from Hull County Court against a Horse Drive taking place in the city. Earlier this week, intelligence was received by the Council and Humberside Police that a drive was planned for Sunday May 11, 2014 commencing in north Hull and travelling to Beverley via Cottingham and Skidby. As public safety is paramount to the Council, along with avoiding disruption throughout the city, an injunction was applied for which forbids the Horse Drive, or similarly described event, from obstructing any highway. The injunction was granted on Friday May 9, 2014.
