Human Rights. Yes! University of Minnesotai University of Minnesota Human Rights Center https://surveymonkey/s/G5PWX2N Dear Colleagues, I am writing to introduce you to a new resource created by the University of Minnesota Human Rights Center and One Billion Strong (OBS). Human Rights. YES! is a new human rights education tool based on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The tool was developed to equip persons with disabilities and their representative organizations to integrate a comprehensive human rights approach into their advocacy work. The training exercises in Human Rights. YES! are designed to enhance organizations’ advocacy at the national and community levels, as well as to promote individual empowerment and self-advocacy initiatives. Human Rights. YES! is also an essential resource for other human rights groups, such as women’s rights and children’s rights organizations, that want to understand disability rights and integrate a disability perspective into their work. The Human Rights. Yes! is accessible online free of charge through our website: www1.umn.edu/humanrts/edumat/hreduseries/HR-YES/contents.html If you would like to receive a FREE hard copy of the manual (shipped within the United States while supplies last), please complete a brief registration form and select one of the three available formats: 1) Box-set, 2) Textbook-style, or 3) Three-ring binder. We hope to be able to contact you in the future to see how you have been able to use this manual and how it can be updated and improved. https://surveymonkey/s/G5PWX2N We are also looking to provide 5-10 university or college professors in the United States with free copies of Human Rights. Yes! to use as textbooks in their classrooms. If you know anyone who might be interested in this opportunity, we would appreciate your references. Interested? Please contact the Human Rights Center at [email protected]
