Human beings are born with wild instincts; they come into the world as babies who are uncultured and untamed. As they grow, their inherent wildness makes it easier for them to pick up bad habits faster than good ones. This explains why a child may start telling lies without anyone necessarily teaching him how to. As he continues in it, it forms his character. Thus the Bible says, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). Children are to be taught early to imbibe godly habits.
