Humans are pattern-matching beings. They observe a universe that has heterogenous predictability and apply patterns to the more predictable parts and aspects of reality. The rest is unknown. Given how much of this universe is unknown, Id say the most interesting question is how come so little of the universe matches our patterns and is therefore predictable. We should not flatter ourselves into thinking we actually understand very much, let alone enough to attribute it all to a superior intelligence. That would imply an order-recognition ability we do not have, by definition of the term superior intelligence.
