Humidity continues to run on the high side across north Texas, but - TopicsExpress

Humidity continues to run on the high side across north Texas, but shower prospects are very low. The air is now sinking like a rock across nearly all (and not just DFW!) of the area making it very difficult for storms to pop. This sinking air is most pronounced around 19,000 feet over our heads, so clouds may be able to tower that high before being flattened. This could squeeze out a wimp shower or two. What we need is an upper-level low like the one you see spinning in this FORECAST RADAR animation down in SW Texas. Put that over the Metroplex, and the skies would open up. But alas, it is not to be. A hot and sticky and mostly dry (could be a few showers on Sunday) first weekend of summer is coming up!
