Hurricane Gonzalo update as of 3:40 EST 4:40 Bermuda time. The AUConf ACS Director, Pastor Pierre Omeler recently concluded a teleconference with Pastor Sean Robinson, NAD ACS Disaster Response Director for the NAD and the ACS leaders in Bermuda to plan the response following the storm. The Adventist Community services department in Bermuda, under the new leadership of Pastor Jimmy Ferguson and sister Dora Baker,the Adventist Community Services federation president, is prepared to respond and help the community as needed. The SDA church has invested substantial resources in preparing the leaders in Bermuda for disaster response. We have the capability to deal with this. Bermuda is still recovering from Fay that hit earlier this week. Presently, there 2200 with power. The St. Georges SDA church has been designated as a post disaster response site by the authorities.
