Jeddah: A group of Hyderabad cricketers formed a new forum called, (HCF), “Hyderabad Community Forum”, which is led by Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Haroon Abdullah Bin Mahfooz, Syed Ashfaq Hussain, Talha Qulani, Jaweed Ahmed, Anwar Ahmed Khan, Zahid Khan, Rafiullah, Ahmed Abdul Rahman & Muzammil Riyaz, they have started their activity with a cricket festival match between the best players who are playing under the banner of JCA, after this cricket festival match, it will be followed by other activities, such as social & community welfare service among the Indian community in general and Hyderabad community in particular, a festival cricket match played from the best players of Hyderabad names as Hyderabad Strikers-XI & Hyderabad Warriors-XI. Match Summary: Hyderabad Strikers won the toss & decided to bat first, they made 194 for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 Overs against Hyderabad Warriors-XI, the Hyderabad strikers opening batsman Jaweed Ahmed displayed superb knock of 64 runs of just 25 balls, in his inning he played some outstanding shots all over the ground, he hit three huge 6 Sixes and 7 fours, Syed Mohammed Afroz well known hard hitting batsman got out in the early stage unfortunately for 25 runs, skipper Anwar Khan took the charge and played sensible inning and scored 21 valuable, later Wasi hit a quick fire 36 runs and left handed stylish batsman Abdul Quddus remain unbeaten on 28, veteran leg spinner Ishaque took 3 wickets, fast bowler Irfan got two wickets while Wajid Samdani, Hamed & Faheem Pasha got one wicket each. In reply Hyderabad Warriors started their inning in full swing skipper Talha Qulani known as King of the hard ball started hitting from the first ball but unlucky to get out quickly as Afroz took a catch at the boundary, Irfan joined Wajid Samdani and they both played fearless and started hitting all over the ground and reached 70 Runs in five overs, Irfan made 35 before he got trapped by Abdul Quddus & Wajid Samdani remain unbeaten on 26 runs but unfortunately heavy sandstorm made the visibility zero and the match was stopped, later the umpires & the management of Hyderabad Champions Trophy declared both the teams as joint winners of this festival match. There was a prize distribution function held in the local restaurant in Jeddah, the winner’s cup shared by the both team captain, LG Provided their products USB & Perfume for the individual players and the organizers, T-Shirts of Linc & Pens provided by Saam Stationary, soft drinks Pepsi and water provided by Pepsi Company, other individual prizes and the main trophy arrange through the contribution by the organizing committee headed by Syed Ashfaq Hussain from ACE Travels & Tours.
