Hypermarkets entice customers with exciting offers and activities during Dubai Food Festival Food Festival Home Edition promotion a big hit among shoppers With the inaugural edition of Dubai Food Festival in full swing, leading hypermarkets are enticing customers by giving away great deals on a range of food products, offering samplings and other freebies, on top of an exciting new consumer promotion, the Food Festival Home Edition, offering up to AED1.2 million in prizes during the 23-day citywide culinary celebration. Around 60 outlets of the four hypermarket brands - Spinneys, Carrefour, Union Co-op and Lulu – are participating in Dubai Food Festival, which is organized by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), to position Dubai as a top gourmet destination.The Food Festival Home Edition promotion is offering lucky shoppers who spend AED 250 at Spinneys, Carrefour, Union Co-op or Lulu the opportunity to win an entire’s year supply of groceries worth AED 50,000 every week. Each hypermarket will hold two raffle draws every week, each draw offering a prize of AED 50,000 worth of groceries. The four hypermarket chains are also running their own individual promotions and activities to attract more shoppers during the food extravaganza. Her Excellency, Laila Mohammed Suhail, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, said: “DFRE is overwhelmed by the fantastic response to the Food Festival Home Edition promotion at the four leading hypermarkets. Spinneys has launched a unique campaign “Enjoy Outdoor Living with Spinneys” to encourage its customers to enjoy cooking and eating outdoors. The campaign will cover a range of products from fresh food (meat, salads, bakery and dairy) and grocery (sauces, marinades, dressings) to home ware (disposables, serving dishes, and grills). Spinneys will inspire, educate and excite customers about eating and cooking outdoors through various activities such as special promotions on key barbecue lines from meats to salads, marinades to barbecues, samplings by Spinneys and its suppliers, distributing recipe cards to customers to encourage them to barbecue, offer a number of hints and tips on the best way to enjoy eating outdoors and also highlight the “Enjoy Outdoor Living with Spinneys” theme at its existing Market Day campaign. The promotion also provides customers a 25 % discount on Reema Biryani Masala.
