I AM DECLARING I SUPPORT OUR SOUTH AK POETS COLLECTIVE, S.U.P STAND UP POETRY AND NIU NAVIGATION,PEOPLE PLEASE SHARE AND EXPRESS OUR AROHA ALOFA AGAPE: As a Pasifikan Poet of Ministry and Community Development praxis, poetry for therapy and healing, social justice and social change it is important we share Grace Taylors superb response to an article at its worse a blatant attack on our people and our creative communities. At its best it highlights the racism being inflicted upon our Aiga Whanau communities and nations again and again. Ignorance is no excuse for poor journalism or supposed research that has offended those interviewed directly and then our collective communal understanding of being a people of Kaupapa and Whakapapa. Poets continue to speak out, stand up and share Graces response so as to break down and demythologise the non truth about our poetry, poetry endeavours and our people. As the saying goes you know you are a threat and successful when these types of misinformation is put out there to damage Justice, Change and our Poetry manuia Rev.
