October 1, 2013 President Goodluck Jonathan set-up a national dialogue committee to draft the modality on how the national dialogue will look like and since then the committee has moved into action by consulting and requesting for memorandum from members of the public. On this note I, Femi Adegboyo thereby strongly suggest that the following group or set of people should be invited How delegate should be selected All the trade union should be well represented e.g NUT, NLC, ASSU, NBA, all the artisan should also be involved e.g association of tailor, association of barbars etc also market men and women should be involved. All professional bodies such as ICAN, ANAN, NIM, ICEN, COREN etc should be represented in the national dialogue All the trade union, professional bodies, artisan association, market men and women should hold a mini-conference where national challenges and the way out will be discoursed and the communiqué that will be issued after such conference should be sent through their representative to the dialogue venue Groups like OPC, MASSOB, ACF should also be involved The regional groups should hold a very strong consultative meeting with all the concern groups and individual in the region to know what the region rely want and made it known at the dialogue center raw without missing words Human Right Activist such as Femi Falana, Festus Keyamo and civil societies should be invited Religious Leaders should be invited for the conference The religious leaders should get the true challenges of their follower’s and made it known at the dialogue center Ten prominent kings from each of the six geo-political zone should be invited All the kings nominated should hold an interrative meeting with their subject to get their agitation/contribution/request known at the dialogue Editors of all the daily newspaper in Nigeria should be invited The editors of the national newspapers should organize a brainstorming section with all reporter and correspondent in their various organization about the current and perceive problem of the nation and the way forward will be discourse and the outcome of the section will be sent through their editor to the conference center. Online activist like linda ekeji, seun osewa of nairaland etc Online activist should use their strength in ICT to get the true demand of all citizens irrespective of their background, religion and ethnics then made these known at the dialogue venue Ten people who had made great impart economically, socially and politically in their various state of the federation should be nominated by the state-men of each state and not by political officer of the state All the prominent individual selected from each state should hold a village meeting with the people in their area to know their grievance and then made it know to dialogue venue National association of unemployed graduate should be invited to the dialogue center The president of the group in person of Ehis Abuya could be contacted thru: 07030717445. He should coordinate all the group member to get the challenges they are facing and how to minimize or reduce it because joblessness is the beginning of insecurity in Nigeria All the social-cultural groups such as Afenifere, ACF, Ohanaeze etc should be well represented All political party should be represented with the same number of delegate in the conference All the political parties should summon an emergency congress starting from wards to deliberate on the challenges of their great party and Nigeria in general. The report of such congress should be forwarded to local government level to deliberate on it and extract the necessary aspect of the report to get her own report. Then the local government forward her report to the state level for her own congress and their report will be forwarded for deliberation in the national congress and their final report will be sent to the conference center in TIME FRAME OF THE DIALOGUE The dialogue should take six month, the first three month should be for submission of memorandum/paper from all the invited groups and individual while the second three month will be time to compile/ merge/abstract and summarize the peoples wish LEGAL FRAMEWORK OF THE DIALOGUE The outcome of the dialogue should supersede the constitution therefore all findings or agreements of the conference should be subject to a national referendum while all the citizens will vote and if majority vote in favour of any agreements it should be a law in the country. SIZE OF THE DELEGATE The size should be small to control and large enough to ensure wider representation of all the tribes and professionals My views on the issues to be deliberated on will be sent in my next write-up Long live ekiti state!
