I AM SO PROUD OF MY SON :) Its no secret that kids are a challenge daily. But some challenges can be a bit more frustrating than others. Tyler had a very rough start to this year. 8th grade was a little tougher than he thought it would be so he decided that friends and hanging out would be more important to focus on. This made me so mad because he is SO smart and can get good grades if he wants to. He wasnt turning in homework and was slacking off on his work in class. After a lot of fighting,arguing,grounding and finally taking ALL electronics away during the week I am so proud to report that he has brought his grades up drastically. But NOT only are his grades up Tyler has such a new found confidence in himself and is capabilities. Watching the pride in his face when he saw that he brought his F up to a high C was priceless. Taking away all electronics during the week has also made him spend more time in the evening with me and Bobby so it was a blessing in disguise. I didnt realize how truly disconnected we really were. I have always kept a tight leash on him when it comes to electronics but even that can get out of hand.
