I DENY MY NATIONALITY! DO NOT READ! IT MIGHT MAKE YOU ANGRY! Most Filipinos, even those who are dear to me and those that I have only rub elbows with, would complain about how difficult it is living in our country. Whining about the political and the healthcare system of the Philippines up to the environmental things such as isolated pollution and poor waste management as well as the unbearable heat during summer and the flooded streets during rainy season is common for those people who have experience life outside the country. It makes me raise my eyebrows when someone would complain so badly that it seems he is not a Filipino anymore. Moreover, if he could deny only his nationality, he would do so. It stirs up my senses when someone keeps on comparing incomparable things from our unfortunate country to another nation with higher economic status. The answer is obvious, but why do you need to say endless reality biting comments. It doesnt help at all. What do you think is the root of all these problems? Is it because of your complaints that are never heard by the ironically forgiven corrupt authorities? Is it because of the never-ending trials of people who are responsible for stealing the countrys money? Is it because you dont take part in the possible positive change in the governance through responsible casting of votes? Or is it because of every Filipinos selfish desire to escape from a seemingly hopeless country? We cannot lie for too long. Your color says who you are. Your culture makes you whole. We arent the race whom to be pitied and looked down to. We are born strong and resilient. Be proud of it. Every Filipinos should not forget the motherland that gave birth to them. Indeed, THE LACK FOR THE LOVE OF COUNTRY is the root cause of all these things.
