I FINALLY DID IT! A few weeks ago, I posted that I had decided to transition to free-form locs. During that time, Ive began to adjust to the transition (noticing the looks and even receiving some questions). Ive even received a negative comment or two. All is well, though. Well, I took the full plunge and decided to chop off the past (i.e. my locs that grew during the process of twisting, gelling, etc.). Locs are gone now, leaving only the presence of the results of my journey from the past 3 weeks. This will be an interesting journey, as I am so excited to see how my locs will form naturally when left on their own to do what they do without manipulation. Ive had to prepare my mind and being for this journey, as its a new walk and one that everyone will not understand. The process will not be attractive to everyone, as its not for everyone (and I accept and appreciate that). Yet and still, its part of my growth and transition into a new man with a new disposition and outlook on life. So, when you see me and notice that I dont look the same, know that I am in the process of being processed. Like my Father, Ive seen the ending before the beginning and my latter will be GREATER!
