I Get Along With People Just Fine by Michael Patrick Murphy I just have problems with religious people, atheists, agnostics, Republicans, Democrats and other drivers on the road. Other than that, I get along with people just fine. ;-) I love telling that one. So why is it some frustrating right wing Christians and self professed atheists blocked me? Perhaps, when you are closed minded, you dont have room for those that offer you the keys to opening it. And coincidentally, why have they all been women? The men seem to be able to handle the fire of debate, while the offended women only want those in the choir to enter their discussions. Its like they have an exclusive sandbox for their fanatical friends. And they like to pretend they are the all knowing experts or ministers of their faith. Their minds are closed to protect their fragile inner cores. They fear being wrong. They proselytize, but only to other believers. For many people, it is more important to be right than to be right. It is a sure sign of neuroses. I just want to say that its okay to be wrong sometimes. It only makes you more humane and not less. Even Jesus would agree with that. Why else would you save the wretched? Thankfully its not all women or FB friends that cant handle the fire of discussion and the cool waters of diplomacy. Imagine that the world is not black or white or right or left. Perhaps it is all types of realities as unique as all those that inhabit the planet including the animals. Maybe there are shades of grey and even more colors than you can see alone. There is little room in my life for the dark side. If you are possessed by hate and venom and vile language and love to paint those that disagree with you as stupid, arrogant or misled by some external force, you will be rewarded by those things that fear, hate, anger, jealousy and suffering bring to you. I prefer to use my key to open peoples hearts and minds to universal experiences so we can enjoy our short journey as much as possible without interfering with the peaceful journeys of others. I think the thing about me that irritates the blockers most, is my patience with them. They would like me to take them more seriously, but language like WTF, etc, prevents me from doing that. It is that kind of language that is the epitome of conceit and arrogance that causes me to NOT take them seriously. However, I can appreciate George Carlins take on that.
