I Give You Peace John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid” John 14:27 (NLT). What a beautiful promise: A life lived for Christ is a life filled with peace of mind and heart—something the world cannot offer. Complete peace is what God gives us when we walk with Him. When we allow Him to be our guide, we live untroubled by the concerns of this world—we are tranquil and content regardless of circumstance. You see, the world is filled with reasons to be worried, reasons to be afraid, reasons to be discontent, reasons to be troubled; but that’s not what God has in mind for His people. When we fully turn our lives over to God—putting our trust completely in Him, giving Him full permission to transform our hearts—the result will be a peace that we can only find in Him—a rest from the worry, the fear, the anxiety, the concerns, the burdens, and the cares this world bombards us with daily. When we stop listening to the lies of the world and start drinking in God’s wonderful truth, He replaces our worldly worries with His perfect peace.
