I H AVE BEEN DISCUSSING THE CHOLERA PROBLEM THIS WEEK. I have had many discussions on the issue, on and off social media with the likes of Dr Victor Bampoe, and many others. it came to light that the HEALTH system was stretched, but all in all, our government and health systems have failed to protect us, AND ALSO FAILED TO PROVIDE THE RIGHT RESPONSE. So in 2014, after a human probe had reached planet MARS, people were dying from Cholera in Accra. In one of the discussions as I tried to hold brief for the health system, and explain how hard it is for example when the people live in such unsanitary conditions and wont even use the cholera prevention and survival kits which MAY be available, something simple became clear. Whatever the authorities are doing, it is not enough!! and blaming the populace is not right, as it was put and rightly so, IF POLITICIANS PLACE THIS ON THE SCALE THEY PLACE ELECTION CAMPAIGNS, WE WILL DEAL WITH CHOLERA!!! WHEN IT COMES TO VOTING, THEY MANAGE TO REACH EVERY VOTER IN EVERY CORNER WITH THEIR CAMPAIGN MESSAGES AND EVEN MONEY!!! when it comes to cholera, they claim the people dont come for the supplies even when available!!! clearly, to some people, working for votes is more important than working to save lives, of course politicians are a different specie of the human race, to them a vote is more important than life itself!! why else would they be prepared to send people to fight and sometimes die so they can get elected!!! and we are all at their mercy! whatever you do, dont get Cholera or Ebola!!!
