I Have such a full heart right now and was just reminded by a total stranger what community SHOULD be about. As I was driving back to the club I saw a man sitting on the ice by the middle school. I slowed down but had tons of cars behind me. I went to the sheriffs dept and turned around and went back and parked. The man had slipped and fallen on the ice. He had recently had a hip replacement and could not get up. I offered to help and he looked me up and down and said there is no way you could lift me. I looked him up and down and said seems like your only option right now and I promise you will not hurt me! Another stranger out on a walk stopped and asked if she could help. Together this woman and I lifted this man back to his feet. We helped him to my car and I gave him a ride home. Now I need a favor. If ANY one knows a man named Kevin, wearing a Rutland Coaching Coat, lives on Kendall Ave please inbox me ASAP. I would love to gift this man a gym membership so he can do his walking inside for the winter as well as a gift basket. He had tears in his eyes when I handed him our business cards and told him to call me anytime!
