I LOVE THE "HUNTING ACCIDENTS" PAGE ON FACEBOOK I have received a lot of alerts recently (thanks folks!) from people hoping we can do something about shutting down the UK based “Hunting Accidents” facebook cause page, but I have to wonder if we’re approaching the thing strategically? I think it’s a great page!....in fact, I’d love to see it get 1million Likes! Why? Because as long as it exists it stands as proof to the community and the media, that there is a class of people in the world community who, while carrying on about a rabbit or fox being shot, revel in news of human suffering and stoop to celebrating it. Perhaps what we should be striving to do is point this out to the media as evidence of the cold hearted and morally corrupt nature of the anti-hunting lobby? These people who express joy and personal satisfaction at news of kids losing their mums and dads, sister and brothers, aunts and uncles, are surely the most detestable form of human refuse. Not only have they been kind enough reveal themselves, they have proudly erected a beacon drawing attention to the most appalling comments that can be dredged out of their perverse minds. I say leave the page right where it is and tell the world about it! Bring proof of the underlying violent and sadistic nature of the anti-hunting lobby to everyone’s attention, and put pressure on the Australian Greens to publically condemn a page that glorifies human tragedy. Perhaps we could even write to our Shooters & Fishers Party representatives asking that they put this demand to Shoebridge and his ilk in Parliament. Why not send the Party a short message outlining your concern about this outrageous page and ask that they put it on The Greens to condemn it. You can contact the Party via its website’s contact page here: shootersandfishers.org.au/contact And include the URL for the offending page: https://facebook/pages/Hunting-Accidents/116857018328303?fref=ts Just a thought. What do you think?
