I-Open As mentioned in my recent video for this community, WE are 7.2 Billion on the planet. Americans represent slightly more than 4%. The demographics have changed and by sheer weight, big change is already upon us and much more to come. Specifically, consider that youth populations have and continue to explode in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. This means that not only the US’s, but also Europe’s. influence on the world has shrunk and by mid century will be negligible. This represents a vast different reality from the 1950s. Baby bust: US fertility rates hit all-time lows The Great Recession has more women, especially Latinas, postponing childbirth The nation as a whole is aging... The impact of the U.S. recession will reverberate for generations to come as women — both Anglos and Hispanics — continue to postpone having children.
