I admired Milton Friedman when I was young, but not have read him since, I think, the 1980s. I now have found out that I may have forgotten his viewpoint. I removed him from a pedestal I had placed him on, and now see that this was in part perhaps because there has been purposeful misquoting of his belief and view. Boy, life thought is complicated. It is hard to know what to believe. I keep discovering ways Ive been hoodwinked. My store of knowledge is perhaps being eroded by forces unknown to me similarly to the way an unchecked leaky hot water faucet erodes a savings account.
