I agree that the way Islam is practiced today, breeds ignorance and is a major cause for turmoil in the world. But it wouldnt it be very simplistic to divide everything into good and evil or black or white? Is it not true that there would have been no Taliban, if US and Pakistan had not funded or trained Mujahideen to fight against the soviets? Would I be wrong if I say that Al Qaeda would have not survived without the help of Taliban? Would it be fair to say that 911 plot could not have been carried out without the support of Taliban ? When we attacked a secular Iraq ruled by a dictator, didnt we know what would be the outcome ? If all we knew that the opposition to Syrian President, was a mostly from fundamentalist terrorist groups, then why did we fund and arm them? I wish life was a fairy tail where the prince slays the evil dragon and everyone lives happily ever after.
