I agree with many liberals on one thing, and that is that much of the Constitution is old and outdated, and should be altered to account for changes in society over the last two hundred-odd years. The Founders could not have anticipated the rise of water skiing squirrels, the Kardashians, or Ancient Aliens, for example. Also, the amendment process is just too slow. We cant wait to act. The part that I think should be dumped on the editing room floor first is the provision of the First Amendment protecting our freedom to petition the government for the redress of grievances. We do not need that anymore. Why should we petition? The government knows what is best for us, and petitioning is kind of like a spoiled child demanding another piece of pizza. They know what is best for us, and resistance is just another form of infantile petulance. So accept what your betters ordain for you, and defer to the judgment of government. Your betters know better, and no, you cant have more pizza.
