I always say I learned a lot about myself working with kids. Today for the first time in 16 years I was spit on!!! In my face not a hulk spit but a tongue between the lips blowing spit type of deal. He continued to slobber on me I was Kicked hit and scratch. Through it all I remained calm telling the kid hes loved and is in a safe place please calm down. This went on for 90 minutes. I eventually had to leave because I dont know how much more I could take honestly. But Im a pray for that kid and his family tonight. What Ive learned when truly trying to help someone you have to put their needs in front of your ego
