I am DISGUSTED by the level of pacifism in this Ray Rice case. All of you men who dare say you understand he beat her, but... ought to be ashamed of yourselves. I am ashamed of you, for you. Regardless of what this young lady says, the abuse IS all of our problem. If you have no soul or care for humanity, then lets talk about the financial and social implications. When you bring the police into the situation, it IS the communitys problem because we pay for it through our tax dollars. When CPS comes and takes children from abusive homes, it IS ALL of our problem because we pay for it through our tax dollars. Socially, is it okay for a man to rape his wife because theyre married? NO. Its still RAPE. But will you then continue to say, Its not our business? We shouldnt judge? AND, lets keep this shit real - WHY all of the pacifism? Oh, because this brotha runs for the man, chasing a piece of leather up and down a field. Where is community? Where is her family shouting? Why arent we her family shouting for her? Where is our tribe? Where is our village? Mrs. Rice is someones child! Under what circumstances do black folks, or ANY color folks, not stand up for each other anymore?! To boot, her brainwashing is just that because she surely wasnt heard saying anything negative about the media when her interests were best served. This is a MAJOR loss for our Ancestors, and proof that the generation that has raised us got sucked into the wrong things. Hopefully our generation will learn to use media to our benefit - TRUTH and RESPECT that our ancestors fought so hard for. For all you brothas that understand how she could stay and wont pass judgement - FORGET YOU. Grow some balls and defend us the way your ancestors had to in order to keep you alive long enough to write such crap.
