I am SOOO not awake this morning, so not only will it be a good morning to think about and post some reasons to be thankful. 1.) Well, Ill start off with a shallow reason, but I am very thankful this very moment for my morning brew! :D 2.) I am thankful for my weaknesses. In the bible, Paul says that he would rather boast about his own weaknesses so that the power of Christ could dwell in him. Over the years, I thought I understood what he meant by that, but the older i get, and the more people tell me how STRONG they think I am (and I KNOW better that I am NOT! ), I know that it is Gods grace that is MAKING me strong. So... I am thankful that my weaknesses repeatedly and more deeply make me rely on Gods grace. 3.) Again, a shallow and materialistic reason as I hear my washing machine running with the load of clothes I just threw in there... I am thankful for that modern appliance. I couldnt imagine a day where people did all of that by hand. And even now, my mind has the memory in it of being in Juarez , Mexico a few years ago where women WERE doing it by hand, and then hanging everything on pieces of barbed wire to dry, as the desert sand was blowing through. Always, always perspective, right?
