I am a bit confused. (This is not unusual for me, but bear with me.) You see, since I started my diet, all kinds of people have been telling me to cut down on carbs and to eat more protein, and I dont quite understand. I might have got this wrong - I only got a B in Maths GCSE, even though I copied my coursework off Graniah Douglas, and she got an A* (Id had my appendix out and missed all the lessons) - but I always thought a calorie was a calorie. It doesnt matter where it comes from, these are the equations: Calories expended > calories taken in = weight loss Calories taken in > calories expended = weight gain Now, I understand that protein makes a person feel fuller for longer, but surely if I stick to 1200 calories a day (which I confess that I didnt today) I could be eating 1200 calories of white bread or I Cant Believe Its Not Butter or Cadburys Creme Eggs and the outcome would be the same? If you could clear this up for me, I would be very grateful!
