I am a huge fan of Franks Karma cafe. They are only open for lunch and have a very loyal customer base, many which drive in from other towns. Parking is a issue for all Main Street businesses. Andrew stated quite professionally at the board meeting what his concerns are. When the one and only village parking lot is closed all day for an event that starts at 6 pm, all of the Main Street businesses are affected. Everyone loves the well run events in Wauconda. We love our Main Street merchants and restaurants as well. Why so many people are lambasting a concerned business owner makes no sense to me. He does not want the events to stop, just to find a better way to accommodate both the events and Main Street customers. He attended the board meeting and stated those concerns to the board who were not aware of any issue. They can now review the current procedures and offer some solution. As a resident I try to support all of our local businesses, especially hard working entrepreneurs.
