I am a nurse (a nurse for kids who battle cancer :).....and as a nurse I have so many stories of patients who have inspired me, made me laugh, made me cry, frustrated me, been braver than me and of course made me fall in love with them.....but unfortunately there are all those rules about confidentiality, social media, boundaries....blah blah blah. So I wont mention names but I will tell you that today has been a day to mark down in that journal that I dont keep about my emotions. Life lessons and quotes of the day. 1. Be Brave: to do this you must figure out who you are, and who you are NOT. 2. To be brave you have to walk away from the shore ..even when the waves are crashing down on you. Have faith that God will give you all the strength you need. It is harder and requires more strength to go through something and allow yourself to feel every bit of it than those who run from it and choose to go around it. Be confident that you are not weak. 3. I have never heard a family who just lost their child to cancer say they are thankful for cancer......But today I did. Everyone including this family HATES cancer, but cancer was what made this warrior a better version of herself, it was what made her brave, it was what made her be the light that shined Gods lover on hundreds and hundreds of people....and for that they thanked this battle. 4. The bible says to rejoice during your times of trouble and to be patient in the suffering.....but today I said goodbye to a young lady who fought a battle over and over again and truly was an example to rejoicing, loving and giving to others the way God wants us to even though she was fighting a BIG battle. 5. Sometimes..many times the weak lead the strong. LOVE and LOVE BIG!!
