I am a pan-Nigeria person but at the same time, l have learnt my lesson in NIGERIAS politics of the recent years where people protect their own people. In spite of the financial malfeasance of Alamesiagha, his Ijaw people still see him as their leader and well-respected in their domain. And in spite of the atrocities of Major Al Mustapha under Abacha, the average Northern elite still see him as their hero, irrespective of the fact that he allegedly facilitated the death of another Northern icon, Major-General Shehu Yaradua. And in the South West, whether we like to admit it or not, Tinubu is a force to be reckoned with. Otherwise, he would not be an issue. And in spite of his shortcomings, l would not join in the bandwagon of the Tinubu bashers. The Yoruba nation should learn from experience. We should not join others to destroy our own because we dont know what will happen to this country tomorrow. My perspective to Nigeria politics has changed. I may disagree with him on certain issues but l will not be part of those seeking to destroy him. Call me an ethnic jingoist, l dont mind. And you say et tu Richard? Yes its me the same Richard. No apology. - Richard Akinnola II
