I am a stay-at-home Mom & I am very grateful to have this opportunity & CHOICE. I have been told several times how Im wasting $$$ opportunities & my RN, BSN degree by not working/practicing my career/profession now. I met some career Moms who told me I have the easiest job compared to them ( like theyre Supermoms & Im not). And honestly, I take NO offense to all these. Each of us has/have different points of view, are in different situations ( could be financial or just personal choice) & for some: different priorities. Whats important ( at least for me) are these: whatever it is that you choose, as long as its a mutual decision between you & your husband; and whatever or whichever MAKES YOU A BETTER & HAPPIER SPOUSE/MOTHER/ PERSON, then go for it! No one can ever insult me by looking down on me just bcoz I am now a F/T homemaker:) I AM HAPPY & GRATEFUL& VERY FULFILLED & BLESSED BEING ONE! Besides, my degree & RN license & work experience will be with me for the rest of my life:) no one can take those away from me. And when the time comes when my children, Sean & myself are ready: I have my licenses,years of work experience/s, references & my scrub suits to rely on:) In Gods perfect time...
