I am a veteran of the Vietnam Era, having served in the United State Air Force as a medic during that conflict. While I have never needed any medical assistance as the result of my service, I did receive educational assistance via the G.I. Bill, thousands of veterans do and I am appalled that Congress seems intent on giving corporate welfare on the backs of these, our warriors. I am embarrassed every Veterans Day at the shoddy treatment our wounded, let alone healthy, warriors are given. Do we really want larger corporate profits while so many veterans suffer to the point that they commit suicide? Really?
