I am about to use my wall today in a way that could annoy some. I turned on the tv & the channel that was already on had Creflo Dollar. I normally dont watch the guy(too churchy for my taste). I heard him say something that left me disgusted. I bring this up to set the record straight because the imbalanced teaching in the body of Christ is partly why many christians are confused. The man took the scripture that says to glorify God in your body and said you cant glorify God in your body if youre sick. What a misappropiation of scripture! Yes, I believe God wants us well, He still heals and yes, we are to glorify God in our bodies but that scripture has nothing to do with what he said. When will we read scripture in its context & stop pulling out individual verses out to fit our beliefs? Know this... YOU CAN AND SHOULD GLORIFY GOD IN EVERY SITUATION YOU ARE IN, INCLUDING SICKNESS. SOME OF OUR GREATEST PLACES OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP TAKE PLACE WHEN WE ARE FACING HARDSHIPS. Today, glorify God no matter what you are facing and do yourself a favor and find some balanced Bible teachers. They are out there and worth finding!
