I am an activist for the legalization of cannabis. The end. Not - TopicsExpress

I am an activist for the legalization of cannabis. The end. Not just in Florida but throughout the world... my ambitions are big, its how I roll. Its a matter of principle; its not that I prefer to be a pot head its that I DONT want to be an opiate addict. As of now I am screwed either way. If I go the legal\accepted route then I will be on 20 pills by end of day that include heroin\opiates, benzos and amphetamines. You probably know them better as Vicoden, Loritab, Codeine, Morphine, Methadone, Oxycodone for the opiates; xanax, kolonopin and valium as the benzos; and Adderall and Ritalin for the amphetamines. I dont like those as Im not a druggie, sorry its just the truth of the matter. I prefer ibuprofin to heroin for my pains. If you are going to pass judgment on me for being a cannabis activist; at least base your judgment on my beliefs not some one sided narrative you saw in a 15 second TV commercial. I dont try and hide them. The cost to me was immensely higher to go with the flow and take my medicine than it ever was when Marijuana was the only drug I used. Well that caffeine and nicotine. One thing that I have learned this election cycle is that it really doesnt matter the side your on, the whole side thing is really all a fallacy. In fact it may as well be racism! Every time I watch the news or listen to the radio the perception that is being broadcast to me is that racial tensions are higher than ever, we are about to go into full out race wars so be prepared. Just ask the folks of Ferguson, MO. BOTH sides are implying this and then both sides tell you why they are right or wrong even though they are saying the same damn thing. The odd part is 90% of people I come across, black or white, are pretty much the same; suffering the same issues and fighting the same fights. A 10 minute conversation will establish that. After all is said and done you will see we are all just Americans. January 1st 2014 I was a hardcore conservative. Long hair pot smoking ULTRA conservative... From that time to today I have realized we are living with a ruling money class and then the working class. Why is it that the Bushes and the Clintons are great friends and hang out regularly? I know people that would FIGHT over that, get sent to jail for it and be proud to say they kicked the other sides ass. So whats missing and why do we fall for it so easily and repeatedly? I think the answer is pretty simple: Laziness. Its just easier to hear an obvious untruth like say passing amendment 2 will create drug dealers when your not sure what it will do but that will work to strengthen a preconceived notion based on??? Nothing. Sadly at this point in our history the fact that you are honorable or honest has little to no meaning when it comes to standing up for something you believe in. How can you discuss anything when one of the experts you are discussing with simply lies and fabricates points that make no sense. I get stuck in the trap of still going back with cold hard facts and RESEARCH. The opposition honed in on the 15% of undecided folks and inundated them with lies. Well played it worked swimmingly. Its time for a revolution folks. Its here already and you can see it playing out in this last election. The revolution I am talking about is a revolution in KNOWLEDGE. Educate yourself and become an EXPERT in anything you have passion for. Learn BOTH sides and make a decision based on YOUR facts and what you yourself have discovered. I started out a ultra conservative that thought being a Patriot meant lining up with a certain group and ended up getting educated along the way. I can now look somebody in the eyes and tell them I am the most patriotic I have ever been! I love America, I fly a flag on my house everyday of every week of every month of every year. When I move, the flag is one of the first things to go up. I also realized along the way that there is no left or right other than what the media tells us; and thats true for most things. There is the political ruling big money class and then theres us. the type of car you drive, the size of your house and even your bank account doesnt dictate which group you belong to. The division is MUCH greater than that. The entities that can control this countries emotional state are the ones Im talking about. Sheldon Adelson the casino mogul from Las Vegas that put 85% of the funding together for the no on 2 side is the type Im talking about. Why would he give a shit if weed was legal half a country away from Las Vegas(BTW This guy makes John Morgan look like a homeless pauper when it comes to bank accounts. Imagine that!)... ??? He doesnt is the answer, its about favors among those elite. He paid millions of dollars to something he could give a shit about in order to get to something he does. In this case its the ability to be a NON Native American and build a casino in Florida. Its not our rules, its the rule of $$$$$. No on 2 traded the medicinal legalization of Cannabis for a billionaire to be able to screw Native Americans out of one of their biggest revenue generators in OUR state. Is it worth it? I guess we will have to wait and see. I dont apologize for being an activist for the legalization of cannabis. I do apologize for not trying harder this time around. I promise next time I will do better as I will find ways to help educate the uneducated...
