I am, and believe many other Kenyans are, tired with this - TopicsExpress

I am, and believe many other Kenyans are, tired with this hullabaloo about the digital migration between 3 local media houses and the Communication Authority of Kenya. What are the three media houses (Standard Media, Nation Media & Royal Media) crying about? My thoughts; its just nonsense! They want licenses and frequencies for the digital platform, then what? They do not have even a single set box manufactured and tested; what capability and capacity parameter is the CAK supposed to use to evaluate them? Just because they have been broadcasting for over 15 years in an analogue platform doesnt mean they are capable of doing the same in a digital platform. I may be innocently ignorant in a few things here because I am not in this industry, but let me try to use logic; the CAK gave them a temporary license, and a few frequencies, manufacture your set boxes, test them within the frequencies you have been given, then come back to the evaluation table with some sort of a success milestone. Following closely a debate on an NTVs prime time programme, PressPass yesterday left me thinking they are just crying and holding the viewers hostage on a failure on their part....somebody watch the links below and tell me if am wrong!...... https://youtube/watch?v=QLju9OXByl4, and, https://youtube/watch?v=0wxWdPK8j3c
