I am and will always be a Husker fan. No matter what. This all dates back to my youth riding on the tractor, listening to the game on AM radio headsets and cutting clips from the Lincoln Journal Star into a collage each season. When the first touchdown happened at Memorial Stadium, I remember standing outside waiting for the thousands of red balloons to fly over the family farm near Davey, Nebraska. Or being at the game with I.M. Hipp pointing back at Oklahoma on a sideline scoring run. Or being with my great friends Dan, Michelle and Bill on O Street when we won the national championship in 94, 95 and 97. However, to say that 2014s season has been a disappointment is an understatement. I am not pleased with the leadership at the top, the sidelines behavior and ranting that is more like Bobby Knight and missing opportunity after opportunity. We have a running back that had the real opportunity to become a Heisman winner, but the team let him down. We were beyond close to being considered for the playoffs again. I do not voice this opinion lightly, it is time for change. GBR
