I am appalled by the most recent posts to this page. What started as a Public Group (see Michelles post for purpose) with members expressing ideas as what they feel is best for the City, has turned into a forum of racism, pettiness, venom, and immaturity. How, on earth, do we expect the current and future City leadership to take our comments with any manner of seriousness when people post comments like those this morning? Jean, Michelle, Jeff Marshburn, and several others have offered extensive research and cogent comments which have given us pause for thinking, and I thank them for their efforts and will continue my support. As a retired educator, I honor and respect the First Amendment with all its rights and privileges, however I cannot condone the vicious and unwarranted attacks on good people and good organizations under the guise of political discourse. I am not an advocate of censorship, never have or will, but mean-spirited, venomous attacks and accusations are unacceptable and have no place in this group. When offering an opinion or you disagree, if you have a desire to taken seriously, please use common sense and good taste. Thank you!
