I am back to work and just recently I was told that in no way am I allowed to speak of work in any form. Meaning not in a general way. Not in a positive way or negative way. I am not permitted to talk about silly stuff or funny happenings even, if I do not use names, places, dates and speak in generalities. I have been told that I will be terminated immediately. Of course this goes for all my peers and co-workers. Not that I would ever discuss patients in any great detail or anything that would embarrass anyone. In fact, I usually say zip about patients. I might want to talk about silly things that happen or miracles but this is just silly. However, it feels so 1984 to me. So ....censored. So....no free speechish. Has our world gotten so ridiculous that this is the way it is? I am glad that by the time we live in a word where we sit in our government assigned room with cameras watching our every move, I will be dead. Just saying.
