I am compelled to show off the travel guitar that I bought before - TopicsExpress

I am compelled to show off the travel guitar that I bought before this trip so that I could work and write while abroad. This is the rosewood/sitka spruce model by Journey Instruments. The neck detaches and it all fits into a well-designed backpack. Not a word from any airport staff as I went through security and boarded the plane. I am amazed at how well the guys at MacNichol Guitars and Mandolins in Utah set up this guitar for me. Granted, Im used to medium gauge strings (From what I read, one should not put more than lights on these guitars… These are lights. Ill bet their carbon fiber model could handle anything, though.), and the guitar does not have the low end of my dreadnaught (of course); but the fact that a travel guitar can sound this good, play this well in tune, and handle a low-C tuning, means that this product is worthy of some praise, in my book. (And no, Im not playing for you all in my underwear… Those are swim trunks that I got for 4 euro at the supermarket here yesterday, because I didnt bring mine.) https://youtube/watch?v=L06_OX_cY2k&feature=youtube_gdata_player
