I am delighted to be able to announce that Brigitte Le Juez has agreed to write the introduction to my third published collection of poetry The Dark Pool, which is due to appear early in the new year and will he published by the bilingual, English French, publishing house Mauvaise Graine which is run by the bilingual poet and Editor Walter Ruhlmann. Brigitte was my supervisor in Dublin City University while I was doing a Masters in Comparative Literature. She has written prolifically on such figures as Flaubert and Beckett and the Franco- Irish literary tradition. She brings a rigorous and forensic eye to all that she puts her mind to, so I am really delighted about her decision. It will be the first time that my work will be given any really serious academic consideration, and knowing Brigitte, as I do, I know that she will do an excellent job in introducing The Dark Pool for the first time to the reading public.
