I am delighted to introduce Michael G. Moskow, TCLC’s new Coordinator. Michael arrives from a background spanning the sciences and humanities. With Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Geology, he worked for several years in Environmental Consulting. However, the “call of the word” – as in “the word” of books, libraries, and information study – beckoned, and he obtained his Master’s Degree in Library Science at Drexel University in 1996. Nearly two decades of experience in a corporate setting (the Institute for Scientific Information – later part of Thomson Reuters) followed, involving customer service in a wide variety of venues; ensuring the quality, content and value of citation indexes; and ultimately, bibliometrics. He is now using these and other talents and skills as Coordinator of TCLC. Michael’s avocations are a reflection of his education and profession. They include recording the recollections of veterans of the Second World War; researching military history (textual and photographic) at the United States National Archives, governmental archival repositories of other nations, and major public libraries – such as the Public Libraries of Philadelphia and New York; and, statistically studying this information. Long an ardent reader, Michael’s literary interests span science, history, theology, classical literature, science fiction, and general fiction. He’s also an avid artistic photographer, and, he likes to ride his bike. Please join me in welcoming Michael to TCLC. Etheldra Etheldra Templeton President, TCLC 215-871-6486
