:/ I am disturbed by the fact I just found out that at JBLM after getting rid of all their perishables the commissary locked its doors until the government reopens. This bothers me on 2 levels. The one that gets me the most is how is this helping the economy when these people now have NO job until the government gets their shit together? These very people are not even guaranteed a date to earn they can start up again. This also can not be helping keep their credit in check. Along with the military guys that are in school are now not going to be receiving their tuition assistance. For any classes that start today or later. Many of these guys use this money to live off of while in school....exact ally what it is designed for. I would love to see all of congress go without their pay as long as everyone that is affected has to. However those slime buckets will likely not go without because they do not see their income as being any part of the deficit. There are civil service employees that are still required to work everyday without pay. These people work side by side with the military. In offices, hospitals, clinics and so forth. The insecurity of when you will get paid again but still required to work. This is what a government shutdown means to so many more people than will even read this.
