I am excited to announce my candidacy for Vice President of External Affairs for Associated Students Inc. If elected, I will continue to build upon the prior knowledge I attained through serving on the external affairs committee as Sophomore Representative. Over the past couple of years, my life has been completely dedicated to politics and government, which has allowed me the opportunity to communicate with elected officials on important topics that pertain to higher education such as Prop 30, the Middle Class Scholarship act and other important topics relevant to students on our campus such as affordable housing and sustainability. I know that I will be able to serve as a liaison between elected officials and our campus to ensure that student voices are not only heard on campus, but in Sacramento as well. It is my goal that this upcoming year, San Francisco State University is put back on the maps for being a school of activism.
