I am fascinated by these Tongan politicians.....fefe koe? Tupou I and Tupou III both inspired me by thier fearless way of uniting a deeply divided country. I am also touched by their acceptance of Christianity into the kingdom of Tonga knowing very well that the English interest has always been to annex Tonga like what happenned to Hawaii in 1893. Both Taufaahau and Salote used their mana very effectively. Tupou IV to me embodies the spirit of intellectualism, mysticism, entrepreneurship, and a political explorer. Tungi openenned up the world outside Tonga and allowed every Tongan the opportunity to travel outside the Tonga in search of a better means to enhance his/her life emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and even politically. because of tupou IVs constant overseas travel, the world learned so much about Tonga and resulted in new businesses opening up in the Kingdom, more tourists visit the islands...... My last Tongan political hero is Tupou VI. He is doing a great job and my prayer goes out to him and his family daily.
