I am feeling somewhat guilty. I voted yes because I was always - TopicsExpress

I am feeling somewhat guilty. I voted yes because I was always going to vote yes because it was a visceral decision, long before the referendum became a reality. If I had to formulate my main reasons for doing so I suppose I would say that I believe in self-determination, and am keen to get rid of Trident. Nothing to be guilty about yet, it would seem, but it was really only in the latter stages of the debate in the run-up to the actual referendum that I actually became better aware of the policies of yes, and the logical arguments for doing so. As I was voting yes from my gut, I didnt try to convince anyone to do likewise because of compelling arguments and I didnt enter into discourse with those in my circle. Im now feeling I have may have missed opportunities to sway undecideds, who may well have ended up voting no. Does anyone else relate to these guilty feelings?
