I am finally home after being an absent parent since Sunday. My mom has taken up temporary residence at a rehab facility. Its a very nice place, and the people are friendly and helpful. It was so very hard to drive away and leave her there. All new faces and names, a new room, a new routine. I know it is going to be good for her. I know she is in good hands. But the look of fear and panic on her face told me all I suspected. She didnt want to be left alone.
