I am going to repeat this again. Since I have made many new friends on facebook that lean towards the history of the Confederacy and the South I want to let you know right now that I am an Abraham Lincoln admirer. To me, he was the GREATEST President of the United States. I also want ot say I do NOT believe in the LOST CAUSE, or REVISIONIST HISTORY of the Civil War to make my ideas about the POLICY of SLAVERY rewrite history in the Confederacys favor. In my opinion, the base cause and the roots of the Southern States to seceede from the Union was to keep the institution of slavery going in the deep south and in new states. I am NOT going to argue with people about that. I have done that many, many times in the past and it is like arguing with a brick wall. No matter how many facts and documents and quotations that are authentic and verified in archives many still believe in the romantic ante-bellum south. I HONOR the history of the soldiers, leaders, and generals of both armies NORTH and SOUTH. I know Civil War history based on historical FACTS and not on some revisionist authors spewing emotions not based on historical facts. There are too many people who enjoy the history of the south in their favor of emotion and not based on FACTS and there are those vile money grubbing publishers and authors who know better, but know that there is an audience who will believe ANYTHING they publish and take their money. I got called a Yankee-lover who doesnt know Civil War history by some bubba yahoo. I blocked his sorry A$$ and if you believe in the garbage he does then by all means block me too, I dont have the time or energy to argue with someone who believes in REVISIONIST LOST CAUSE trash...and I DO ADMIRE Southern Leaders such as R.E. Lee, Patrick Cleburne, J.B. Hood, and many others but I do NOT believe or support in the Confederacys root cause of secession (which was states rights and their policy to protect the institution of slavery). I HONOR the HISTORY of the soldiers who fought for their governments and I try my best to remain neutral, but get pi$$ed off when some yahoo says I dont know Civil War history, my response is F.O.A.D. jerk!
