I am have been feeling led to write a post to the men, men Do you truly love your wives as Christ loved? Unconditionally, would you truly die for her? If your not married yet what if your new bride the day after wound up paralyzed or in a vegetative state and you had to wash her, wipe her butt etc.? For you married guys, picture your wife in your mind, now what if she lost her breasts? Could you handle it? could you tend to her emotionally, physically and spiritually as you need to? GOD gives us challenges, tests and sometimes while we are the ones going through it the test isnt really about us, it maybe about our relationship with her, it maybe that someone else on the outside is watching and they need to see what we will do. marriage does take work to a degree, mostly on each partners part to learn to be more selfless and more considerate. It is said marriage is 50/50, however I agree more with the statement of 100/100 because if each party is not in 100% then there will be issues, and if you really love your spouse then it is not as much work as some think, the work is more satisfactory as we are accomplishing something, striving toward a goal so to speak. Not unlike a sports person working toward a touchdown, a home run, a basket or even pinning that opponent. We do it because of love, love of sport and in marriage love of that one special someone GOD has given us. Yes it can be tiring, yes we get angry yet we communicate, love, forgive and make a step forward and we find that step makes the gap grow less faster when each party takes one toward each other. My wife brags on me yet I do not feel as though it is deserved, I love her so to me it is no special effort to try to make her more comfortable and feel loved despite what her physical appearance may be, why? because I married her spirit and soul, her body is but a shell and she will always shine and appear beautiful to me no matter what happens. So men, think about what really matters, is it physical, or is it pure. I pray it is pure and if you have not found that someone I pray that you do so you can feel the same peace, joy, love and satisfaction. ~R
