I am having difficulty deciding how to vote. I believe in social justice and supporting people who need a hand up, yet I also believe that our economy and hardpressed tax payers cant continue to afford the growing number of people who choose not to engage in education and work. I believe that a healthy business environment helps to support social spending and wage growth but I also feel National politicians are not working for the good of New Zealand as a whole, particularly in education, health and workers rights. I support many of the Green Partys environmental policies and think this is where they should focus...but they dont seem to. Puzzled, yet not wanting to be irresponsible and not vote. I suppose its just that no one party seems to genuinely have the welfare of all New Zealanders as well as the health of business and the environment as their priority. Am I expecting too much from politicians?
